The Prague registered association Life RESCUE – záchranáři Praha školicí středisko první pomoci z.s. (Prague Rescuers First Aid Training Centre) was established in 2001 as a civic association, and was the first non-profit organisation whose only and main activity was increasing first aid provision awareness, not only in children and adults, but also in the members of each rescue unit of the Integrated Rescue System. From the very beginning, the director has been Ing. et Bc. Michal Petržela, DiS., whose goal is to constantly increase and improve provided services.

The main pillar of provided services is the effort to achieve a high level of professionalism and expertise in training. We achieve these goals by cooperating with experts in the fields of emergency medicine and first aid. We use the funds gained from our trainings to improve the quality of our services, to create promotional materials, and to create aides. With this strategy, we find ourselves in an exceptional position in comparison to our commercial competition. Financial gain is not our main priority, and thus, we can fully concentrate on the needs and wishes of the client.

The lecturers that lead each training session are graduates of health secondary schools and colleges, and are participants of vocational courses and seminars. We can mention, for instance, courses such as Preparing Flight Personnel for Emergency Events on Board, a course of Special Preparation for Crisis Situations, held by the Czech Army abroad, or the Czech Mountain Rescue Service Training. Courses are always thematically prepared as according to current need. Our lecturers are also authors of books on first aid, published by the publishing house of Grada publishing a.s. in 2007 and 2016.
